Why Use Beeswax Food Wraps?
Beeswax wraps are an eco-friendly substitution to plastic wrap and baggies! They can be used to cover dishes, keep cut produce from going bad, take a sandwich on-the-go, let cheese breath naturally, keep bread from going stale, cover food while outside, and so much more! Beeswax is naturally antibacterial and water resistant- making these wraps perfect for keeping your food fresh and protected! Each wrap is made from 100% cotton fabric, beeswax, organic jojoba oil and pine resin; all ingredients are food grade and sourced in the USA.

All of the fabric used at Lightnin’ Bug Sewing Co. is washed in a detergent that is dye free, perfume free and hypoallergenic so that all items are ready for anyone to use. Any fabric that is used for baby or food items is brand new, never used, freshly washed, and stored separately from other fabric. The rest of the fabric collection (hoard) is made up of variety of fabric, from new store bought pieces to someone’s great grandmas hand embroidered kitchen linens from the 1940s making many pieces completely one of a kind.

Please note: All custom orders are completely one of a kind and will not be duplicated for someone else. If you love one of our previous creations we can help make it personal to you but it will not be exactly the same.
To start your own custom order all you have to do is send us an email or a text through our contact page with your inspiration picture or tell us what your kitchen looks like or what the baby theme is and we will help you decide on the perfect fabrics for your creation. Each custom order is required a 50% non-refundable deposit before we start cutting.

Recreating a Cherished Family Heirloom
Do you have a beloved family heirloom that you'd love to bring back to life? We are here to help. We can create an exact replica of your great-great-grandmother's apron, using your chosen fabric. Our fee for this service is $30. Here's how it works:
We will send you a packing slip to put on a box, to send us your cherished apron.
Our team will carefully create a pattern from the apron to ensure an accurate recreation.
After the pattern is made, we will make you a matching apron with the fabric you have chosen.
Once completed, we will ship the new apron and your cherished one back to you.

Hello, my name is Dallas. I am the creator, owner and seamstress of Lightnin’ Bug Sewing Co. I live in the beautiful Montana mountains and spend most of my days outside with my four legged critters and spend my evenings working in my art “office”. Much of my work is inspired by my love of vintage linens and items that are actually useful for everyone. It is my hope to bring you something that will be enjoyed for many years to come.
